CLS Hosting Workshop on Heritage Language Learners

 The CLS will be hosting a week-long instructional innovation workshop on heritage language learners from Monday, May 16th, through Friday, May 20th. The first two days are open to all interested language instructors, with keynote speakers Olga Kagan, Director of the National Heritage Language Resource Center at UCLA and Professor of Russian at UCLA, and Maria Carreira, Co-Director for Language Teaching at the NHLRC at UCLA and Professor of Spanish at California, State University at Long Beach. During the last three days of the workshop, invited language instructors will have an opportunity to work with CLS staff on their heritage learner projects funded by CLS instructional innovation grants.
